Spring Book Sale
Join us Saturday May 3rd for our first Spring Book Sale. The sale will take place in the library's meeting room 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Prices will range from 10 cents for magazines to $1.00 for hardbacks and videos. Sale made possible by generous donations. All proceeds go towards library programming.

National Library Week
National Library Week will be observed April 13-19, 2008 with the theme, "Join the circle of knowledge @ your library®."
First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support. All types of libraries - school, public, academic and special - participate. National Library Week is observed each year in April, generally the second full week.

Web Design Contest for Teens
Only two weeks left! Still time to participate. Our web design contest will end April 4th. It is open to ages 14 - 19 years old. The theme is Sports. Pages can be designed around anything sports related... your favorite team, athlete or sport. The grand prize will be a $50.00 gift certificate to Best Buy. Other prizes will be announced soon. Holiday Closing
The Florence County Library System will be closed Friday, March 21st through Sunday, March 23rd in observance of the Easter holiday. Regular hours will resume on Monday, March 24th.

Shamrock Party for Kids
Join us on St. Patrick's Day for a Shamrock Party! Event will be held in the library's meeting room from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. on the 17th. Event is for those 13 and younger. Don't forget to wear green! There will be crafts, a storytime and face painting.

Family Movies to Continue
Family movies will continue through April here at the library. We will show the following: March 8th Underdog (PG), March 29th Bee Movie (PG), April 12th Nancy Drew (G), and April 26th Snow Buddies (G). All ages are welcome to the family movies. Movies are on Saturdays and will begin at 2:30 p.m. in the meeting room.
